Wisepon Construction was contracted to deliver a complete waterproofing solution for a concrete roof deck that had started showing signs of moisture penetration, surface cracks, and internal dampness in the floors below. As a critical structural component, the concrete slab roof required a durable and watertight system to protect the building’s integrity and interior spaces.

This project was focused on preventing leaks, improving thermal resistance, and extending the lifespan of the roof slab with a cost-effective and long-lasting solution.

Scope of Work

Our professional waterproofing team executed a high-performance process tailored for exposed concrete slab roofing:

• Comprehensive inspection to identify cracks, water entry points, and structural weak spots on the roof slab.
• Cleaning and surface preparation using pressure washing and debris removal to ensure optimal adhesion.
• Repair of visible cracks and joints using flexible, high-bond waterproofing sealant.
• Priming of the slab surface with a deep-penetrating bonding primer.
• Application of a liquid-applied waterproofing membrane, designed to withstand UV exposure and extreme weather conditions.
• Installation of reinforcing mesh fabric at corners, outlets, and critical stress zones.
• Final UV-protective topcoat for increased lifespan, walkability, and temperature resistance.

Results and Impact

The completed waterproofing system has transformed the concrete roof deck into a fully sealed and resilient surface, protecting the structure from water infiltration and internal water damage.

The new membrane ensures that rainwater is properly drained, eliminating pooling and reducing the risk of cracks from thermal expansion.
